Dr. Jacob Allee

Dr. Jacob Allee is happily married and he and his wife, Susan, enjoy raising their four wonderful children. He has a B.A. in Christian Apologetics from Luther Rice University, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Piedmont International University, and a Ph.D. in Humanities from Faulkner University. His academic research focuses upon the role stories play in developing the moral imagination and the power stories have to pass on and preserve virtue within a society.

Professionally, Jacob is presently serving as a teacher and Upper School Dean at Caritas Classical Christian Academy in Chandler, AZ. He has been formally working in classical Christian education since 2014 but he and his wife homeschooled classically for several years before that. Prior to 2014 Jacob worked as an associate pastor in several churches in Kansas, one in Kentucky, and another in Arizona. Since stepping into the classroom he has gained experience teaching History and Literature via the Great Books, as well as Formal Logic, Composition/Progymnasmata, Rhetoric, Biblical Studies, Theology, Philosophy, and Apologetics. Jacob is also the founder of Study The Great Books which is committed to producing classical Christian curriculum that is faithful to the Lordship of Jesus Christ for use in classrooms and homes across the country. STGB also publishes articles on classical Christian pedagogy, Christian apologetics, original fiction, and more.

Jacob and his family are members in good standing at Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Apache Junction, AZ. Jacob is committed to confessionally Reformed theology and affirms the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, the Three Forms of Unity, and the ecumenical creeds of Christendom (i.e. Apostle’s, Nicene, Athanasian, and Definition of Chalcedon).
